TB-500 is a synthetic peptide derived from thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein involved in tissue regeneration and repair. It promotes cell migration, angiogenesis, and wound healing while reducing inflammation and scar tissue formation. Because of these properties, TB-500 has been studied for accelerating recovery from injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues.
